like the absolut idea, i think you can do whole spread absolute, unfortunately here readers wont be able to read the text with the absolute picture, there goes spine in the middle... but you i see that you understand the layout, good.
how about if i make the absolute image smaller, and the others slightly bigger..to leave space in the middle for the spine?
